Upcoming Guest Forum on Teaching about HeLa Cells

Aa Aa Aa

Hi friends,

I hope you've been enjoying the guest forum from Susan Forsburg as much as I have.  Very interesting discussion is going on in that thread, about how science could be structured to mitigate or replace the intense competition that exists today.

On Friday, we will have a new guest Forum from Irene Evans at Rochester Institute of Technology.  She has been using Rebecca Skloot's new book on Henrietta Lacks' HeLa cells that we discussed earlier (click here to look at the previous discussion again) in her teaching and will give us some ideas in case we might want to try that.

Have a great week!

cheers,
Laura

I loved the book too. I'm looking forward to seeing Irene's ideas on teaching from it.

I want to see this one. I loved the book, but haven't considered using it in teaching (yes I can do a little even now!)
