Temporary hold on Africa forum posting

Aa Aa Aa

Dear Science in Africa forum readers,

Our forum with Doaa Tawfik has been put on hold temporarily, until the situation in Egypt is worked out and communications are restored there.

Meanwhile, thanks for your continued interest in our new forum!

Though internet access in Egypt has been limited this past week, it seems more than Egypt has been affected. As people slowly come back online, and some are still not back on, we're wondering, how many readers have been affected?

Doaa will be back again soon, and she sends her regards to you all.

So why exactly is the Internet throughout the African continent (or at least part of it) affected due to the unrest in Egypt?
