Simultaneously in Egypt started a series of climate discussions under the title "Cairo Climate Talks". These talks discussed the outcomes of COP 17 and the regional impacts. Cairo climate talks not only discuss the pollution problems but also are including experts and most importantly media to cover and discuss these issues further. Next week on 26th February, the 4th panel will be held. This 4th panel will discuss how can the Egyptian agricultural community adapt to these climate changes?
The results of the Cairo discussions can be followed and all the interested parties are welcome to join in. It is really great to see all this interest for environmental protection here in Africa, despite all the economic, trade, health, instabilities and military problems. Also as it is clearly known, Africa is the least pollution-creating continent, as all the polluting industries are located else were on the planet and not in Africa. Definitely joining hands together will be most beneficial and I personally hope that these continuing discussions will soon reap great benefits.
