Bird of the Week: Chimney Swift

Correction: Thanks to Michael (@darwinsbulldog) for catching my mistake: the photo actually despicts Vaux's swifts, and not chimney swifts. The new picture left of the original shows actual chimney swifts!

No, those aren't bats you see diving down the chimney. They're chimney swifts! If you're lucky enough to live in their migration range in Eastern North America, you might catch chimney swifts by the hundreds funneling into a chimney near you on their way south to the Amazon.
