In a study reported by Fujiogi et al., infants hospitalized with bronchiolitis were grouped according to coronavirus genus, and their metabolites were analyized. The two groups differed little in clinical manifestations, but they had distinct nasopharyngeal metabolome signatures and nasopharyngeal microbiota profiles.See article by Fujiogi et al. on page 1594.
