NMR structure of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae ribosomal protein L30 in complex with its autoregulatory RNA. The specific interactions formed between loops in the protein and the internal loop in the RNA constitute a novel loop-loop recognition motif in which both the protein and the RNA are stabilized in the complex. This highlights the importance of mutually-induced fit in RNA–protein interactions. Pages 1139–1147 and New & Views pages 1081–1083.
