Structure of the complex between two photosynthetic electron transfer proteins, ferre-doxin (Fd; red) and Fd-NADP+ oxidoreductase (FNR; blue) from maize leaf. The close proximity between the redox active sites — the 2Fe-2S cluster (yellow) in Fd and the flavin adenine dinucleotide (orange) in FNR — could allow direct electron transfer.
