  • On 22 March 2023, the Geroscience Translational Research & International Conference on Frailty and Sarcopenia Research (ICFSR) Task Force met in Toulouse, France to discuss avenues to foster the development of intrinsic capacity and frailty clinical trials under a geroscience perspective. A synthesis of these discussions and a set of recommendations are presented in this Meeting Report.

  • On 27 and 28 June 2022, the UK SPINE network (www.kespine.org.uk) held an in-person conference focusing on how new medicines could contribute to improving healthspan (healthy life years). The event facilitated knowledge exchange within the broader geroscience community by bringing together researchers and stakeholders from multiple sectors, including industry, academia, entrepreneurs, small-to-medium-sized enterprises, regulators, patients and carers, investors and policy makers.

  • On 16 and 17 March 2021, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the National Institute of Aging convened a virtual workshop to discuss developments in SARS-CoV-2 research pertaining to immune responses in older adults, COVID-19 vaccines in both aged animals and older individuals, and to gain some perspective on the critical knowledge gaps that need addressing to establish scientific priorities for future research studies.
