Commentary in the Journal of Human Genetics consists of short narrative articles of interpretation, evaluation and opinion these are based on the original full article which appear in the same or recent issue of the journal. These commentaries are written by a third person who is an expert in their field. Commentaries are popular in scientific journals and well received by their readers as they often help readers to understand the topics clearer and encourage further exchange of ideas in the research community. Since publication of the first commentary in May 2010 issue JHG has so far published 12 commentary articles. In this campaign, we are delighted to offer free access to a selected 'set' of commentary and commented articles published from recent issues of JHG. All readers, subscribers to JHG or not, are invited to view the full text of these articles and check how research experts have described and commented on original articles, and how they may different from your own thoughts and opinions.
JHG is looking to encourage active discussion and communication among readers, authors and editorial board members with an aim to continue publishing interesting and informative Commentary articles. In many cases commentaries are solicited, but we will also consider voluntary contributions for publication.
