The World Conference on Science Literacy (WCSL), inaugurated last year by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), puts sustainable development at the tops of the agenda for its second year, and features the brightest minds in scientific research.

Building on last year’s success and the Beijing Declaration for Promoting Public Science Literacy across the world, the 2019 World Conference on Science Literacy (WCSL) highlighted the importance of accelerating international engagement and collaboration on science communication for the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals.

First launched in 1999, and conducted in different cities every year, the Annual Meeting of the China Association for Science and Technology is now a high-profile event in the Chinese science community.

The 21^st Annual Meeting of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) will take place at the International Conference Center, Harbin, China on June 29-30, 2019.
