The 21^st annual meeting of CAST

The 21st Annual Meeting of CAST, co-sponsored by China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and People's Government of Heilongjiang Province, is to be held in Harbin, the capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, on June 29-30, 2019. Under the theme of "Innovation-driven Reform and Opening-up", prestigious experts and high-tech entrepreneurs from home and abroad will be invited to give keynote speeches at the opening ceremony.

Thirty activities are planned, such as forums focusing on development, high-level dialogues among scientists, an international summit, the Global Green Development Contest, and science communication saloons, aiming to attract around 3,000 people, including 200 foreign experts and their domestic counterparts.

First launched in 1999, and conducted in different cities every year, the Annual Meeting of CAST is now a high-profile event in the Chinese science community. This year's Annual Meeting will uphold a new concept of development and deepen CAST's cooperation with its global partners. It is expected that the event and its subsequent impact will advance the integration of "science and technology +", making China more innovative, and helping with the revitalization of northeastern China and the modernization of Heilongjiang Province.
