The Standard Neurological Classification of Spinal Cord Injury chart (Revision 4/2011) is a useful instrument for our daily work in dealing with patients affected by spinal cord injury http://www.asia-spinalinjury.org/publications/n_store.php. The ASIA chart has been included, as it is on the web, in a Spanish-language neurological textbook since 2004.1 As there is no Spanish version of the chart, we took the initiative to translate it into the Spanish language (Figures 1a and b). We strongly believe that this could help disseminate the use of the chart in Spanish-speaking countries and thereby aid in the care of spinal cord injury patients.
