Fast atom bombardment of solids as an ion source in mass spectrometry

Abstract

A new ion source for molecular structure determination of thermolabile and involatile compounds by mass spectrometry is presented together with some preliminary results from peptides, glycoside antibiotics, organometallics and vitamin B12 its coenzyme.
