Abstract
THE culture fluid of Aspergillus melleus Yukawa was reported by Gill-Carey1 to show weak antibacterial activity against Staph. aureus, Bact. coli, Myco. phlei and C. xerosis. Three antibiotics have now been isolated from culture fluids of this Aspergillus. Two of them have been identified: they are penicillic acid and mellein.
