Vitreo-retinal surgery
Vitreo-retinal surgery is rapidly evolving. Miniaturization of instruments and novel surgical approaches are improving and refining patient outcomes.
As a result of these innovations novel therapies such as gene therapy and cell transplantation to the retina have already entered human clinical trials. It is therefore appropriate to produce this web focus on vitreo-retinal surgery. It highlights some of the novel vitreo-retinal approaches that have been reported in Eye.
