Rajiv Raman is a Vitreoretinal Surgeon at a tertiary eye care institute in South India. He is also a Visiting Professor at Vision and Eye Research Unit, Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, UK. He initiated one of the first comprehensive programmes for screening for Diabetic Retinopathy in India and is a pioneer of Teleophthalmology in India. His published contributions have been covering several aspects of retinal diseases including retinal imaging, the use of deep learning in retinal diseases and research related to low vision. Dr Raman has been an Editorial Board Member for Scientific Reports since 2022.
Yasuo Yanagi is a Professor in Yokohama City University, Japan. His research interest is about retinal diseases, and his research focuses on basic science research to understand the pathogenesis of retinal diseases, translational research focusing on early drug development and clinical research such as biomarker and imaging studies. Prof Yanagi has been an Editorial Board Member for Scientific Reports since 2017.
