In August 2017, Nature Nanotechnology published a focus issue on the role of environmental risk assessment (RA) and life-cycle assessment (LCA). The focus was on the challenges of combining these two tools to get a better and more comprehensive assessment of the impact of engineered nanomaterials (ENMs)1,2,3.
