Dawsonet al. report the structure of chicken ASIC1 bound to Psalmotoxin 1 and find that the toxin locks two regulatory regions of the channel into a desensitized conformation.

  • The crystallization of a racemate on a surface can lead to crystals with a unit cell containing both enantiomers, or to the separation of enantiomers into crystals of single-handedness.
