Microporous organic nanotube assisted design of high performance nanofiltration membranes

Based on the design of natural, porous organic nanotubes, Shuangqiao Han et al. fabricate 15 nm thin membranes that can be used for water purification, specifically to filter out boron and phosporus.

  • Recent experiments have found a two-fold van Hove singularity (TvHS) in the kagome metal CsV3Sb5. Here, the authors use perturbative renormalization group calculations to find that the leading instability in a model of TvHS is a chiral condensate of electron-hole pairs, breaking time-reversal symmetry.

Here the authors show that the surface-lattice-confinement effect can regulate the hydrogen spillover directions and accelerate spillover rates. Progression on androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) to castration-resistant (CRPC), or neuroendocrine prostate cancer (NEPC), is associated with poor patient survival.
