Researchers have developed a yeast reporter system to rapidly evaluate the responsiveness of androgen receptor (AR) mutations to steroidal ligands. This system enables high-throughput study of the interaction between each ligand and AR mutant by visual observation of yeast colony formation and could be applied to high-throughput AR compound screening for treatment of prostate cancer.
