Abstract
SHEN and Berkey1 calculated the ratio of antiprotons and positrons to be expected in the primary cosmic rays assuming that both components are the end products of proton-proton interactions, and pointed out that the observations of the positron spectrum would permit us to deduce the antiproton energy spectrum. Observations on the ratio e+/(e+ + eâ) have been made2 in the 5â50 GeV range, and we have used the results to put an upper limit on pĖ/p at various energies.
