Abstract
INTERFERENCE with experimental plasmodial infections by associated infectious agents has been previously described (West Nile virus1; Chlamydia psittaci, an ornithosis strain2; bacterial endotoxin3), but observations were not made to determine whether the effects observed were mediated by interferon. These reports and our own findings4 of induction of interferon by P. berghei infection in mice led us to further investigation of mouse malaria in relation to interferon.
