Perception of Redundant Cues by Monkeys with Inferotemporal Lesions

Abstract

Monkeys with inferotemporal lesions showed impaired visual categorization. More extensive temporal lesions including the hippocampus produced similar but more severe visual disorders. In the latter animals the results suggested a memory impairment in addition to the visual categorization defect.
