Abstract
BY the addition of disodium nitrilotriacetate (HX) to a metal versenate (MeY), a mixed complex is formed and the pH of the solution is lowered due to the following reaction: The titration with sodium hydroxide of a solution containing equivalent amounts of metal versenate and disodium nitrilotriacetate results in a sharp end-point when an equivalent amount of base (sodium, hydroxide) is added.
