α-Chain of Rabbit Hæmoglobin

Abstract

HUMAN hæmoglobin, the structure of which has recently been determined1, consists of two pairs of homologous amino-acid chains—the α- and β-chains. The work reported here was concerned with the species differences between the α-chains of rabbit and human hæmoglobins.
