Abstract
IT has been shown by Friberg1 that men exposed for many years to the hazard of cadmium inhalation can excrete a protein having a low molecular weight in their urine. In order to investigate this phenomenon further, an investigation has been carried out on the changes in serum protein produced in the albino rat, following the administration of cadmium salts, using the starch-gel electrophoresis method of Smithies2, together with the modification in the buffer system suggested by Poulik3.
