Urinary Excretion of Œstrogens in Cases of Chronic Prostato-vesiculitis

Abstract

THE prostate gland is a sensitive target organ for testicular hormone, the production of which is a prerequisite for the normal development and function of the gland. The same relationship is consequently reflected in what concerns the composition of prostatic secretion. Thus, the quantitative occurrence of prostatic acid phosphatase1–3 and citric acid4 is intimately dependent on the endocrine function of the testes.
