Abstract
THE optical-transform methods1 for solving crystal structures are obviously of greatest use in dealing with chemical molecules the main outlines of which are known. It is interesting, however, to see whether they might be used for determining a crystal structure directly without any chemical information other than that of the unit-cell contents.
