Abstract
SERUM which has a powerful antilymphocytic effect in vivo can be prepared by immunizing an animal with injections of suspensions of heterologous lymphocytes1,2. The mechanism by which such a serum brings about a fall in the lymphocyte count when injected into an appropriate animal is uncertain, and it was felt that some light might be thrown on this question by studying the effect of the serum on suspensions of lymphocytes in vitro.
