  Protocol for quantifying inactive lithium in anode-free lithium batteries by mass spectrometry titration

  Mass spectrometry titration is useful for studying the chemistry of electrodes and electrolytes in batteries, giving insight into their failure mechanisms. Here, a protocol is established for reproducibly quantifying inactive lithium in anode-free lithium-metal batteries via mass spectrometry titration.

  Residual polymer stabiliser causes anisotropic electrical conductivity during inkjet printing of metal nanoparticles

  Inkjet printed metal nanoparticles are known to have lower electrical conductivity than those produced by traditional approaches. Here, anisotropic electrical conductivity is attributed to organic residuals from the metal nanoparticle ink, reducing conductivity.
