An IgG endopeptidase derived from Streptococcus pyogenes (IdeS) may be an attractive new therapy for desensitization. Recent data indicate that IdeS effectively depletes anti-HLA IgG, creating a therapeutic window for successful renal transplantation in sensitized recipients.
