Hot...Hot...Hot !!!

Aa Aa Aa

If you've never experienced summer in Africa, then you've never seen summer....trust me !!!

To be fair that is not an idea, it is actually a fact. Our sun is as young and strong as it could be, it is actually said that our solar blessing could power all Europe.

Well ... we'd be happy to !!!

There are two ways of using the solar power; you can use it either indirectly through concentrating solar power using lenses and mirrors or directly using the solar power which is called photovoltaics (PV). Despite that PV solar power is a limited power source, it is more applicable and economic for African countries. One of the successful examples is Mozambique's PV standalone station that powers about 45 houses, a school and a heath station.

On the other hand, a proposal was presented by Europe to harvest African solar power. Grids are to be installed ─or may be currently being installed─ in sub Saharan desert and some places in North Africa. Then these grids will transform the solar energy to electricity which will be delivered through cables between North Africa and Italy or through the existing cables between Spain and Morocco then it can power up all Europe.

In my opinion, after harvesting all the solar power Europe could take and building up all PV stations to power up Africa as well....we will still have a very hot summer !!!

So...why don't you join us !!!
