Alternative Energy
The traditional energy sources are scarce and will soon be gone and thus, the importance of finding new alternatives. Another reason for abandoning the use of traditional sources is the marked environmental impact and pollution. That is why generally these alternative energies have to be safer and with less undesirable consequences. The undesirable consequence is mainly the emission of carbon dioxide that is responsible for the global warming.
That is why finding an alternative to traditional energy sources is now the main focus of the whole world. Africa is a major source of multiple alternatives. Africa has concentrated solar power especially in North Africa which is a well-known solar spot, just last year the European Union decided to invest in solar energy production in some North African countries. Not only solar energy but North Africa also is a major source for wind power. Also Africa has other sources of energy like Tidal, geothermal, hydropower and others.
Many conferences and meeting are planned under the name of green energy, alternative energy, and renewable resources. Also the environmental impact of these alternatives is discussed in many other health oriented gathering.

Alternative source of energy is the aim of the developed countries thesedays. It is the best thing to be done for our health and our environment. There are many researches for clean energy rather than nuclear one, due to its dangerous wastes & the need to aggressive security and safety issues. There are many clean other types of energy soruces like, as mentioned above tidal, solar, wind & hydro sources; but the newest one is Geothermal energy and the top countries which depends mainly on it is Iceland. This type of energy source needs a country has many volcanic points and areas of hot water springs, because this type of energy source needs continued steam source to move the turbines to generate electricity. Geothermal energy is one the cheapest sources like what happens in Iceland.
