Optical frequency domain imaging (OFDI) of the vasculature of the mouse cerebellum. The image was obtained through a cerebellar window, surgically implanted as described in the protocol by Askoxylakis et al. The cerebellar window provided optical access to the cerebellum, allowing intravital imaging of normal structure and disease states, including malignancies. Image taken from the protocol by Askoxylakis et al. doi:10.1038/nprot.2017.101. Cover design by Jamel Wooten.
