Abstract
Caenorhabditis elegans is a free-living soil nematode that feeds on live bacteria. Important pathogenic bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain PA14, Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella enterica can infect and eventually kill C. elegans.
