Ageing and well-being

Submission status
Open
Submission deadline

The Editors at Communications Psychology invite submissions on the topic of ageing and wellbeing.

This curated Collection of research articles seeks to bring together high-quality publications that address the relationship between aging and psychological, cognitive, or subjective wellbeing. Submissions may come from any field of psychology or neighbouring disciplines, such as gerontology, social work, and psychiatry.

We welcome work that considers micro- and macro- longitudinal changes in aspects of wellbeing as well as predictors or moderators of these changes. This may include research exploring connections with ageism, the environment, personality, health, relationships, self-views of aging, and activity engagement. The Collection is also open to experimental and cross-sectional age-related comparison studies that are able to shed light on mechanisms and conditions that facilitate or hinder wellbeing in older adults.

The journals will consider submissions of Research articles, Registered Reports, and Resource articles on the topic. More information on the different formats can be found here. If you are interested in contributing a review or opinion piece, please email the editors directly.

This Collection supports and amplifies research related to SDG 3.
