In the February 2010 issue of Nature Reviews Nephrology, the discussion on the differential diagnosis with respect to the cerebral salt-wasting syndrome was incomplete. The relevant section should read “However, the damage was neither acute nor was the patient volume-depleted, as indicated by low blood urea nitrogen and low serum uric acid levels (notably, low serum uric acid levels are also often observed in patients with cerebral salt-wasting syndrome, despite volume depletion).”
