The effects of GAD1 SNP M02 (rs7557793) genotype on the BOLD fMRI response during the N-back working memory task. Healthy individuals who were genotype 1/1 (N=50) showed an apparent abnormal increase in activation (i.e. they are less efficient) relative to 2-allele carriers (N=52).We thank Rachel G Higier for her assistance in the preparation of this illustration, which is based on the same dataset used in Figure 1 in the manuscript.
