Healthy ageing is defined as the process of developing and maintaining the physical and mental capacities that enable wellbeing in older age. Brain health is critical for healthy ageing. Although genetic risks to brain health might be inherited, lifestyle choices, such as getting enough sleep, being physically active, and eating healthily, as well as environmental factors are thought to play an important role in maintaining brain health.

The present Collection welcomes original research articles investigating the genetic, lifestyle, and environmental factors that influence brain health and accordingly, promote or compromise healthy ageing.
