Structure and mechanism of membrane transporters

Membrane transporters constitute a vast class of proteins whose structure and function enable selective passage of substances through cell membranes, and as such they are the target of many drugs. This Collection focuses on the mechanistic aspects of membrane carriers and current advances in the biochemical and biophysical characterizations in this field, as well presenting new research tools for membrane protein studies.
