Understanding others’ speech enables communication and is key in social interaction. It often seems to happen effortlessly, however, on a cognitive level, language processing is a complex skill involving functions such as attention, memory, and executive control.

This Collection welcomes research on various aspects of language processing, for example its development, underlying cognitive processes, or individual differences. Furthermore, research on conditions with impaired language processing will be considered.
