Sleep is of fundamental importance to learning. What happens during sleep as the brain consolidates new memories, and how this process can be targeted strategically is a research question across different interlinked fields of study, including neuroscience, education, and clinical psychology. The editors at Communications Psychology invite manuscripts on the interplay of sleep and memory dynamics to bring together research from this multidisciplinary field of study in one shared Collection.
We encourage submissions of Articles, Resources and Registered Reports with applied research questions as much as basic research; for example, submissions of studies investigating the neural mechanisms underlying sleep-mediated memory processes are as welcome as research on the outcomes of strategic interventions in an educational or clinical context.
Other article types, such as Reviews, Perspectives, and Comments that add significant insight into interplay of sleep and memory will also be considered for inclusion in the Collection. All submissions will be subject to the same review process and editorial standards as regular Communications Psychology manuscripts.
