Prof Ine van der Fels-Klerx (PhD) is a Professor of Food Safety Economics at the Business Economics Group of Wageningen University, and Principal Scientist of Wageningen Food Safety Research. Her research focuses on underpinning decision making in food safety control, considering social-economics. She also focuses on food safety in changing food systems, including climate change, circular production, and use of novel proteins. She has authored over 150 scientific publications.
Prof Christopher Elliott is a Professor of Food Safety, founder of the Institute for Global Food Security at Queen's University Belfast and former Pro Vice Chancellor for the Medical and Life Sciences Faculty. His main research interests are in the development of innovative techniques to provide early warning of contamination incidents across complex feed and food supply systems. Protecting the integrity of the food supply chain from fraud is one of his key research themes.
