Molecular reaction dynamics

Advances in molecular beam and laser techniques have made it possible to study chemical reactions experimentally at an increasingly granular level. Theoretical studies of reactions have also expanded thanks to improvements in computational methods for modelling large molecular systems. This Collection assembles research Articles furthering our understanding of reaction dynamics.

Guest Editor King-Chuen Lin

King-Chuen Lin was a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at National Taiwan University. He specialized in photodissociation and reaction dynamics, atmospheric chemistry, materials designed for sensors and catalysts, and single molecule spectroscopy. He received the Academic Award from the Taiwan Ministry of Education in 2014, and the Richard B. Bernstein Award at the International Conference on Stereodynamics in 2018. Prof Lin was an Editorial Board Member for Scientific Reports between 2017 and 2022.

Professor King-Chuen Lin sadly passed away as the Collection was approaching publication. He was a distinguished researcher and educator, and we hope that this Collection helps researchers keep advancing the field to which he dedicated his career.
