Interventional treatment of complex cardiac diseases

As the world population is ageing, an increasing number of patients are affected by complex cardiac diseases. Improvements in procedural techniques and imaging technologies have been paving the way for innovative interventional options for treatment of complex coronary artery disease, structural heart disease and heart rhythm disease. This Collection provides a platform for interdisciplinary, translational and clinical studies on current innovations in the area. It gathers original research Articles on interventions ranging from transcatheter valve implantations (TAVI) to emerging therapies such as percutaneous mitral-clipping, CTO-interventions, PFO-closure, and left atrial appendage occlusion.
