Dr. Dongliang Luo is a professor at the State Key Laboratory of Frozen Soil Engineering, Northwest Institute of Eco-environment and Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research interests include 1) Multi-interactions between climate and cryosphere across the northern hemisphere, especially in the Tibetan Plateau; 2) Distribution and evolution of cryospheric components in the mountain regions and its correlation to varied climate and; 3) Response of cryosphere to climate change and its influence on the ecology, hydrology, and sustainable development of society.
Dr. Lei Wang is a professor at the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. His current research is focused on climate change and water cycle, in particular the cryosphere hydrological processes, over high mountain regions (e.g., the Tibetan Plateau and its surroundings), for an improved predictability of regional water resources and water-related disasters (e.g., floods and droughts).
Dr. Deliang Chen is a professor at the University of Gothenburg. His research includes Earth System Science, global environmental change, climate dynamics and modeling, and atmospheric circulation. He is an elected member of six academies including the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the World Academy of Sciences. He has served on numerous international and national committees and boards. He was the Coordinating Lead Author of the IPCC’s sixth assessment report. Recently, he was awarded the H. M. The Swedish King's Medal for his outstanding contributions to climate research.
