In the version of this Article originally published, in the Author Contributions section the text that read ‘A.Z. and P.A. synthesized the chalcogen mixture and developed the synthesis procedure for 2D β-TeO₂ while also conducting XPS, Raman and AFM measurements. B.Y.Z. conducted some AFM imaging and contributed to low-temperature device testing’ was incorrect; it should have read: ‘A.Z. and P.A. synthesized the chalcogen mixture and developed the synthesis procedure for 2D β-TeO₂ while also conducting XPS and Raman measurements. A.Z., P.A. and B.Y.Z. performed the AFM imaging.’ This has now been corrected.
