We appreciate the attention our work1 has generated to bring awareness of the challenges of working towards a just, clean energy future. It is important that we continue to shine light on energy injustices and expand our collective understanding of the causes and impacts. As such, we take the opportunity to discuss aspects brought forward in Dokshin and Thiede2 to provide additional context and clarification.
