Response to the Commentary on: Intracavernosal pressure of the erect penis in children with hypospadias

We would like to thank Dr. Ibis et al. for their comments [1]. Our study presents new objective data regarding penile erection in children with hypospadias. Intracavernosal pressures (ICP) were assessed during the routine artificial erection test conducted at the beginning of hypospadias surgery. The measurements included children with varying degrees of hypospadias severity, both with and without prior corporotomies [2].

The primary observations revealed higher ICP in distal/mid hypospadias (group A) compared to proximal cases (group B). Furthermore, boys who underwent corporotomies exhibited lower ICP than boys who did not undergo corporotomies.
