MULTICENTER CLINICAL STUDIES PROGRAM

Sponsored by The American Pediatric Society and The Society for Pediatric Research

Deadline for Submissions: September 18, 1998

The APS and SPR invite submissions of applications for the Multicenter Clinical Studies Program. This program is designed to promote and expedite the initiation of well-controlled multicentered studies by providing seed monies and a convenient site to meet. The Societies will consider any proposal that addresses important clinical questions that are pertinent to children. Priority will be given to collaborative groups that are in the developmental phases (have not done prior clinical studies as a multicenter group). The primary institution must be located in North America.

The purpose of the initiative is to help provide the impetus needed to get studies underway by allowing the necessary number of investigators to get together to work out a multicentered protocol. Proposals can come from any APS or SPR member. An amount of $2500 to $3500 will be provided to each approved study.
